Grooming Policy

Here at Doggyluscious I aim to operate a relaxed salon.  To maintain my high standards of service, I ask all customers to read and understand my grooming policy - see below.  By booking an appointment for your dog, you agree to the grooming policy and the terms and conditions herein.

Arrival/Collection
An appointment system is used which allows me to operate my policy of 'one dog' (or family of dogs) in the salon at any one time.  Please be punctual.  If you are late dropping your dog off, there may be insufficient time to complete the treatment.  Please collect your dog at agreed time.  Failure to do so will result in an additional charge of £5 per half hour of lateness.

Cancellations/No Shows/Missed Appointments
Whilst I understand that sometimes appointments have to be cancelled in an emergency, I do ask that you give me at least 24 hours notice where possible, prior to appointment cancellation.  This is so that I can, wherever possible, allow another customer to take that appointment.  I reserve the right to charge a fee of £15 for appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice payable prior to any future booking.  Arriving 30 minutes or more late for appointments will in most cases require re-scheduling and a missed appointment fee of £15 will apply.

Hygiene
Please ensure your dog has attended to its business before dropping off at the salon.

Fleas
If fleas are discovered on your dog during treatment, a flea surcharge of £20 will apply. This covers the cost of flea elimination: pets with fleas are washed 2-3 times with specialist shampoo, towels must be bagged and laundered separately, and the Salon must be thoroughly cleansed and disinfected.

Dangerous Dogs
I do not accept any dog that is described under The Dangerous Dog Act 1991.
I reserve the right to muzzle or restrain any dog whilst in my care if I, at my sole discretion, feel its behaviour poses a threat during its treatment.

De-matting
Normal grooming charges do not include the de-matting of a heavily matted dog and there will be an additional charge for this service where applicable.

No "Drying Cages"
I have a strict no drying cages policy. All dogs are dried and finished by hand to a high standard. 

Payment
Payment must be made either by cash, cheque on collection of your dog or by bank transfer or PayPal by agreement.  I regret that I cannot accept credit cards.  My estimates are based on an average expectation of the work required for the breed or type of dog, however, please be aware that some dogs may require extra work or handling and as such this will be reflected in the price charged.

Privacy
Rest assured I do not divulge your details to any third parties. However, from time to time I may contact you with news, offers and updates. I may also photograph or video your pet and use these images on my website, Facebook or Instagram page for marketing purposes. Please let me know if you do not wish to receive such information or do not want me to use images of your pet.

CCTV
For safety, security and quality assurance purposes, CCTV is in operation at all times, including throughout each grooming treatment.
