IMPORTANT NOTICE - COVID-19 / CORONA VIRUS - UPDATED 05/01/2021
Latest restrictions - dog groomers are able to remain OPEN and leaving home to attend to the welfare of an animal is permitted.
Doggyluscious has been trading responsibly and putting the health of our doggy clients and their humans first as always throughout recent months. I have been operating a COVID-secure working environment for many months now and continue to remain safely open while the current restrictions are in place.
Key measures in place to enable you to book and visit with confidence are:
As always, I only have one customer's dog or dogs here at any one time, with generous gaps between each customer, so social distancing from other customers is assured.
We can discuss any special grooming needs or instructions over the phone to minimise contact during your visit.
Dogs may be released into the secure area between the gate and the salon where I will be ready to receive them, so we never need to be less than 2m apart.
Customers will retain their dogs' leads and collars during the dogs' visit with me.
All dogs are washed immediately upon arrival and before any other grooming process is carried out.
The salon and all grooming equipment is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before and after each customer visit.
I am using appropriate and practical PPE.
Invoices are issued by email and payments can be made by bank transfer or the Doggyluscious PayPal account. No cash handling is necessary and I would encourage all customers to switch to electronic payments wherever possible please.
Travelling to Doggyluscious is permitted travel (it is permissible to leave home to obtain services and to attend to the welfare of an animal). Although it isn't strictly necessary under the rules, minimising travel is clearly desirable. Many clients combine visiting with other purposes, for example, dropping off their dog(s) while:
On their way to or from work or volunteering activities;
Walking their dogs to me as part of their daily exercise;
Out shopping for food or other essentials;
Accessing other healthcare services;
On their way to or from school to drop their children off;
On their way to care for a vulnerable person; or
On their way to take exercise nearby.
Please remember that good grooming remains a health and welfare necessity for many dogs and can prevent more serious issues developing which may lead to veterinary visits and unnecessary expense.
The guidance is subject to frequent change and to ongoing re-interpretation by government, police and local authorities, so please stay abreast of and act in accordance with your understanding of it. Similarly, the guidance to businesses changes frequently and so my approach to trading does of course remain potentially subject to further change - if that happens, this notice will be updated promptly, so do please check back here.
If you are unable to attend an appointment for any reason, please do give me as much notice as possible. I always have customers wishing to book at short notice and it's really helpful to them and their dogs if I am able to fit them in by recycling cancelled appointments.
I look forward to seeing you and your furry friend soon. Meantime, do stay safe and well.
